Efficient Analysis of Pattern and Association Rule Mining Approaches

چکیده
The process of data mining produces various patterns from a given data source. The most recognized data mining tasks are the process of discovering frequent itemsets, frequent sequential patterns, frequent sequential rules and frequent association rules. Numerous efficient algorithms have been proposed to do the above processes. Frequent pattern mining has been a focused topic in data mining research with a good number of references in literature and for that reason an important progress has been made, varying from performant algorithms for frequent itemset mining in transaction databases to complex algorithms, such as sequential pattern mining, structured pattern mining, correlation mining. Association Rule mining (ARM) is one of the utmost current data mining techniques designed to group objects together from large databases aiming to extract the interesting correlation and relation among huge amount of data. In this article, we provide a brief review and analysis of the current status of frequent pattern mining and discuss some promising research directions. Additionally, this paper includes a comparative study between the performance of the described approaches. IndexTerms-Association Rule, Frequent Itemset, Sequence Mining, Pattern Mining, Data Mining

New Approaches to Analyze Gasoline Rationing
In this paper, the relation among factors in the road transportation sector from March, 2005 to March, 2011 is analyzed. Most of the previous studies have economical point of view on gasoline consumption. Here, a new approach is proposed in which different data mining techniques are used to extract meaningful relations between the aforementioned factors. The main and dependent factor is gasolin...
متن کاملA new approach based on data envelopment analysis with double frontiers for ranking the discovered rules from data mining
Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a relatively new data oriented approach to evaluate performance of a set of peer entities called decision-making units (DMUs) that convert multiple inputs into multiple outputs. Within a relative limited period, DEA has been converted into a strong quantitative and analytical tool to measure and evaluate performance. In an article written by Toloo et al. (2009...
متن کاملExploring the Relationships between Spatial and Demographic Parameters and Urban Water Consumption in Esfahan Using Association Rule Mining
In recent years, Iran has faced serious water scarcity and excessive use of water resources. Therefore, exploring the pattern of urban water consumption and the relationships between geographic and demographic parameters and water usage is an important requirement for effective management of water resources. In this study, association rule mining has been used to analyze the data of municipal w...
متن کاملSequential Pattern Mining: A Survey on Issues and Approaches
INTRODUCTION Sequential pattern mining deals with data represented as sequences (a sequence contains sorted sets of items). Compared to the association rule problem, a study of such data provides " inter-transaction " analysis (Agrawal and Srikant, 1995). Applications for sequential pattern extraction are numerous and the problem definition has been slightly modified in different ways. Associat...
متن کاملVague Set Theory for Profit Pattern and Decision Making in Uncertain Data
Problem of decision making, especially in financial issues is a crucial task in every business. Profit Pattern mining hit the target but this job is found very difficult when it is depends on the imprecise and vague environment, which is frequent in recent years. The concept of vague association rule is novel way to address this difficulty. Merely few researches have been carried out in associa...
